4 Ingredients To Get Glowed Up For The Summer

 Are you ready to get your summer glow on naturally? I'm going to teach you the traditional Somali huruud (turmeric) way. I've been using this for a while. Trust me, it's not complicated and you'll love the results.

It's as simple as four ingredients you probably have in your kitchen. Start by mixing 1 tsp turmeric (antioxidant, good for acne), 1 tsp gram flour or finely ground oats (exfoliating), 2 tsp yogurt (anti-aging, need I say more?), and 1 tsp olive oil (restores smoothness, protects from UV rays).

Apply all over your face, avoiding your eyes. Here's a tip: I apply it with the silicone spatula I use for mixing to prevent staining my fingers. Don't worry, it won't stain your lovely face. Let it sit for 20 minutes. Wet face lightly and gently scrub in a circular motion before rinsing off.

I follow-up with a light moisturizing oil. My favorite is combining 3 drops of Bulgarian rose essential oil in one ounce of marula oil, oh my! You can use huruud up to 3 times per week for a natural, healthy glow.
